Quail Egg Plate
The Quail Egg Dinner Plate is glazed with a white ash glaze and random iron spots. The wood ashes for the glaze come from the artist's neighbor's wood stove and the plates are fired in a wood kiln to 2300 degrees. Each plate is hand thrown and trimmed using locally sourced clay from North Carolina.
Hallyburton Pottery Matt Hallyburton's ceramics define handmade. Matt digs native clay from local creek beds in the foothills of North Carolina. He mixes and dries it, hand throws each piece on his wheel, and fires them in a wood burning kiln. Learn More >
