Mesquite Flat IV (30x40)
CLICK HERE for larger image | On his second-ever trip to Death Valley, Mike Basher made Mesquite Flat IV, a study of the rippled flank of a dune nestled deep within Death Valley National Park. The image was carefully composed and recorded on a four by five inch sheet of black and white silver gelatin film on his 4x5 large format camera. This Ilford Galerie silver gelatin print is part of a numbered edition. The image is 30"x40" mounted on Dibond and custom framed to 38"x48" in a deep-set, modern graphite grey aluminum frame, which has specifically been chosen by the artist. The work is set back from the acrylic glazing by half of an inch, so that attention is drawn solely to the photograph. It has been signed in the lower right, and edition numbered in the lower left, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
Mike Basher Drawing inspiration from the solitude of the outdoors, Mike Basher's sublime, minimalistic photographs isolate the subject in a way that causes the viewer to question - and often disregard - it's whereabouts. Learn More >
