End Grain Block
The beautiful End Grain Butcher Block is both better for your knives and a more sanitary surface than an edge grain or plastic board. The wood fibers on an end grain board face upwards, so that when you cut you are cutting in between the wood fibers, as opposed to cutting through the fibers like you would on an edge grain board. Use the "Wood" drop down menu for a close-up of each wood variation.
Brooklyn Butcher Blocks Nils Wessel considers himself a born maker. As a kid he spent his summers in his uncle and grandfather's Vermont workshop learning the language and craft of woodworking. After spending every free hour he had hunched over experiments, he made his first butcher block and has been perfecting the craft ever since. Learn More >
