BAYITH is a collection of high quality home textiles that focuses on elevating both your everyday moments and grand gatherings.
After years in the fashion industry, founder and designer Catherine Chang became disenchanted with the production process of mass market retailers. Her focus began to shift from fashion to table textiles as she realized the sense of community created when people come together around a table for a meal. Armed with her textile knowledge, BAYITH was born to promote thoughtful design techniques while fostering the growth of the creative community in Brooklyn, New York.
Each distinct BAYITH piece is designed in-house, sewn in small batches, and embroidered by hand in her Brooklyn studio. Thoughtful design and sourcing are at the center of the BAYITH collection. Leather tabs on the napkins come from vintage leather jackets. Driftwood on the table runners were found on the beaches of Maine. Place cards are printed on seed paper that invite guests to plant their own flower garden. These are the details that make lasting impressions on your guests.
In addition to her love of textiles, Catherine is also a coffee snob, has serious puppy envy, and is currently growing a plant-filled jungle in her studio.
